The architectural bureau Zaha Hadid Architects has published a photo of the project, what will be the three new stations of the Dnipro metro: Tsentralna, Teatralna and Muzeina.

"Three new stations will connect residents, businesses, cultural and academic institutions of the eastern regions of the Dnipro with the city center and the Dnipro-Holovnyi railway terminus," the bureau's website says.

In September 2018, it became known that the Turkish company Limak, which is building the metro, signed a contract with Zaha Hadid Architects to design new stations. Designers of the bureau must design the entrances and ticket halls of the subway and directly the platforms for sending subway trains.

Zaha Hadid's bureau worked in different countries of the world, but the Dnipro metro is her first Ukrainian project.

The design was developed by the head of the studio Patrick Schumacher, and Evgenia Pozigun acted as the main architect of the project. Evgenia studied at the Odessa State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture and has been working at Zaha Hadid Architects since 2009.

In bureau explained that Dnipro has a long history as an advanced region in the field of engineering, metallurgy and manufacturing. And these traditions are reflected in the concept of future stations: welded steel entrance pavilions consist of many structural shells. They are made from recycled steel sourced locally from the local Dnepr foundries.

The design of the ticket halls will be unique for each station.

The metropolitan in Dnipro consists of only six stations, the total length of the only branch opened in 1995 is 7.8 km. This is the shortest underground route in Europe.

In 2017, after a long break, three new stations began to be built in the city: Tsentralna, Teatralna and Muzeina. The opening is scheduled for 2024.
